Welcome to Senate - please contact us with any suggestions, feedback or problems at support@senatesense.com

Onboarding - your access to the platform is initiated via a SenateSense invitation email, as arranged via your platform administrator (or directly with Senate). Click through, as requested via the email, to establish your secure login details.

My Senate - we recommend you to initially visit the 'My Senate' page (top right on menu bar) to establish your profile via the drop down menu. The 'My Senate' page is where you will find a record all your interactions - your questions, your answers, answer requests you have sent, and answer requests sent to you, along with your watchlist and questions you have shared to other members. You can also add to, or edit, your profile details including your social media addresses and picture (via the pencil icon). Don't forget to 'Save' changes.

SenateSense ASK - you can ask open or closed questions on the platform. You will, however, get better answers if you use closed questions (with a YES/NO/OTHER answer), that encourage supporting facts, and allow you to SenseCheck your position. For example, a closed question can start with : are ...? can ...?, is...?, or does...? By adding: if so, how ? at the end of the question you invite further information. When asking a question you can add 'tags' to help identify and group similar questions - this will help in searching/filtering the Q & A database at a later date. You can also add a member's name to send an 'Answer Request' or 'Watchlist Alert' direct to their own 'My Senate' page (an email is also automatically sent).

SenateSense ANSWER - members can answer in detail, providing links to additional supporting information. They are prompted to summarise as YES/NO/OTHER with pre-defined categories for choosing 'other'. They are also prompted to add a complexity rating - this helps to illustrate how difficult they believe it will be to achieve the answer. Members can return to update their answers at any time, via the 'edit' feature.

SenseCheck - the SenseCheck view of a particular question gives an overview of the YES/NO/OTHER positions for closed questions and can be used to quickly understand the general, indicative, perspective across your team/group.

Acceptable Use - by using the SenateSense platform you confirm that you accept the terms of the Senate Acceptable Use Policy, <click here> which covers Prohibited Uses, Content Standards and our appropriate action in case of a breach of this policy. If you have any queries about the policy please contact us at support@senatesense.com .

Platform Administration - you and your team/group’s platform will be administered by a designated individual within your team/organisation. Via the Administration portal he/she will have the ability to invite/block additional users; delete questions; customise the platform’s look and feel; edit the invitational email and generally oversee membership and appropriate use.
